Is TrippyBid legit?
Yes. But a company saying that about itself is worth nothing, so here is the thread that prompted this page, and everything you can check without asking us.

They were right that nobody had heard of us. That is our problem to fix, not yours.
Three comments on that thread. Two from people who had never used us, and a third from me, which Reddit took down. That is fair enough — founders turning up to defend themselves is what those rules exist for. So I am answering here instead.
One comment said we were "not even a week old". We took our first booking in August 2024. There are five of us. In the early days I rang hotels myself to check our customers' bookings existed, and I still call customers after their stay to ask how it went.
None of that proves anything on its own. The list below does.

Nothing is charged when you book.
Payment happens on the hotel's free-cancellation date. Cancel before it and you have paid nothing at all. If your stay is still about two weeks clear of that date, we do not even ask for a card. That is also why a price drop reaches you as a lower charge rather than a refund you have to chase.
Check us. Don't trust us.

Is TrippyBid a scam?
No. We're a registered travel business in Australia, the UAE and India, with apps published under our own name. But you shouldn't believe a company that says it about itself, so everything below is checkable without asking us.
Is TrippyBid a real company?
Three registered companies: TrippyBid Private Limited in Australia, TrippyBid FZE in the UAE and TrippyBid (India) Private Limited in India. Names and addresses are at the bottom of this page. We've been taking bookings since August 2024.
Where do your hotel rooms come from?
From bedbanks, the global wholesalers sitting behind most online travel agencies. It's the same supply the household-name sites draw on, which is why you'll recognise the hotels. We're adding more bedbank partners and talking to hotels directly about contracted rates.
When is my card charged?
On the hotel's free-cancellation date, not when you book. If your stay is still around two weeks clear of that date, we don't ask for a card at all.
How do you get me a lower price after I've booked?
We keep checking your room. If the same room and meal plan gets cheaper before your free-cancellation date, we confirm the cheaper booking first, then release the original. You never pay the higher price, so there's no refund to chase.
What if the hotel doesn't have my booking?
Every booking is reconfirmed after it's made. You also hold a supplier reference you can read to the hotel yourself. If something looks wrong, message us and we deal with the hotel and the supplier.
Could you move me to a different hotel?
Not without asking. Automatic rebooks are always the same hotel, room, meal plan and dates.
Can I cancel?
Yes. On a free-cancellation rate, free of charge up to the hotel's deadline, which is shown on your booking. Non-refundable rates are marked as such before you book.
How does TrippyBid make money?
A margin on the room rate, built into the price you see, the same way other booking sites do. No subscription, no membership, no fee for rebooking you cheaper.
Why haven't I heard of TrippyBid?
Because we're small and new. We started taking bookings in August 2024. Two in three travellers who kept a booking with us have booked again, and our founder calls customers after their stay to ask how it went.
